Sorry Euros, but there's no free trial for the European servers yet. I suppose there's nothing stopping you from playing on the American servers, though. =)

There are other promotional offers in Europe right now. For legal reasons they can't do it, I think. If you buy a certain magazine it comes with 14 days free, however.

I played CoH, IMO it's way too one dimensional, unless they added tons more things for a person to do.

They've been slowly adding more and more things to do. The next major patch is adding a whole new zone, and 2 more patches down the road will be a crafting system (or something like it).

Do you need to buy the game before trying the trial or can you download it somewhere?

You'll be given a link to a page with the download. Actually I could probably give you the FTP link now. It's about 1.5 GB I'm guessing.

It's 875 MB, but you'll have to download all the updates, which is another few 100 megs

There are 8 servers to choose. Guardian and Protector are both on the West coast. Pinnacle is on the East coast. I can't remember where the others are located. Keep that in mind. Some Euros say rubberbanding isn't an issue for them, but I guess it all depends on your connection type.

I play on Guardian, but using the Global Chat feature, you can talk to anyone on any of the 8 American servers. My global handle is @Tulzar if you have any questions. =)

The download link is in the first email they send at the bottom, but the ftp link they gave me didn't seem to work correctly.

Downloading Coh.zip @ 105 KB/S should be done is 2 hours but I probally wont have a chance to try it this week.

Yeah my connection blows, my max is 125 download and 20 upload. I don't think it's capped but aparently I'm located in a shitty area for dsl service.

Account name doesnt mean anything in-game. People communicate via either your character name or your global chat handle (which will be the same as your first character name and can be changed once).

Hey, you are just jelluz that me and inplict are going to get our COH on and you arnt invited.

I'm guessing you can't switch characters from servers, so I'll probally go east (Pinnacle or whatever)

You can't move characters from one server to another (way down the road the devs will implement a one-time switch), but you can make 8 characters on each server, and there are 10 servers.

i'll post what server i connect to.. and my thaughts of playing it ( later tonight )
