First time I came across this and the show is pretty good. Anyone else like it? I've only seen the last 2 episodes of season 3.

One of the best shows on TV. I absolutely love it. I have no idea why people allow themselves to be interviewed for the show knowing Penn Gillette is going to rip them a new one, though.

Yeah the over the top swearing is class, most of the people who they interview probally never heard of the show.

Brilliant show. It can be a little biased at times but I take it in stride.

Just a little? At least they don't hide it.

Not yet, but I plan to watch all that I can find. I've only seen diversity in college & big brother.

Yeah, they don't hide it. It's refreshing.
They would say something like this, "... now here's our bullshit unscientific survey ...".

My 2 favorite are the 12-step programs and the swearing episodes. Look for those, they're both funny. Oh, and the conspiracy theorists ep.

There use a lot of profanity, and depending on the episode, some nudity and sexual content. Quite enjoyable.

They've done episodes on:
- the Bible (they've got balls)
- Near death experiences
- bottled water
- recycling
- environmental hysteria
- the Patriot Act (most recently)
- Creationism
- Self-help people
among others...

On one of the episodes they explain that they show the people they interview previous episodes and explain how the show works. The reason why people agree to go on is in Penn's words "These people genuinely believe they are bulletproof".

yea - actually a friend of mine had a copy of it, and thought i'd find it interesting.
It was well made, although I don't think they did much primary research. Rather, they summarized views of classic proponents and opponents. Yet they do include many relevant points.
It was great seeing Edgar Schoen - I knew his papers are wonky, but I never knew
he was. It was great to see him completely ommit any mention of penile cancer, as that was his great contribution to the literature on circumcision.
Btw - i always found this quote hilarious - it's taken from a major pro-circumcision site:
Also, contrary to the claim often repeated by the anti-circumcision lobby, the foreskin is not the only erogenous part of the penis!
http://www.circumcisioninfo.com/index_home_new.html
Now that the existence of erogenous tissue in the foreskin cannot be ignored (since it's now part of the scientific literature), the best pro-circers can do is to use arguments such as:
"well there are other erogenous parts of the penis - so it's not as bad as ppl make it out to be"
imagine someone justified female circumcision that way:
"well we're only removing the labia - they still have their clit"
Secondly, I have never once seen an anti-circ statement that claimed that the foreskin is the only erogenous part of the penis.

I just got done watching an episode on Hair. Gotta love HBO, showing a hot chick getting her snatched waxed spread-eagle.
Right now is the episode on Self-Help, in case anyone on the East Coast has HBO and is interested, followed by a rerun of the Hair ep at 11:00pm EST.
