I bought a new 8-button mouse from Nexxtech and in games MOUSE3 (clicking in the mousewheel) is not recognized at all. I could easily use another button because others are recognized, but i just want to know if this is fixable because i'm most comfortable using MOUSE3 as my zoom button in q3.

Got mouse drivers/mouse ware? Try disabling whatever function mouse3 is set to in Windows. Sometimes it conflicts with games and won't work. For Logitech I had to set mine to a function called "Middle Mouse" which still does the basic scrolling function in Explorer.

lol if u zoom with your mouse then u must be the biggest newbie in the history of the sport..

i've probably been playing fps a hell of a lot longer than u have and am probably better at it anyway, especially q3. just because i have a certain function bound to a certain key doesn't mean i can't play well... and in any case how the hell would the zoom being set on my mouse affect anything?

that did it synergy, thanks! and btw misantropia (who seems to be everywhere, in all forums) i'm usin' XP Media Center Edition.
