I downloaded a zip file, extracted it, and it was a .exe file. So its meant to be a funny vid but if its an exe does that mean its prolly a virus or similar?

I trashed it, but am not sure if i missed a good laugh or a computer version of the clap, so what is the deal with .exe files on a mac? they cant self execute so Im safe from that POV, but should I just delete them if they turn out to be exe, or is there something (pc emulators aside) that enables macs to open them?

pls help a noob

This is my experience from windows, don't own a mac. Some .exes might hold a joke but usually with a large deal of spyware. And then still most .exes like that are only virii. Dump them.

I don't believe it can be run on Mac hardware without VirtualPC or the like.
