you have just joined the majority of ipod mp3 player owners AND you can put COOL PICTURES ON YOUR TV LIEK OMG. i like apple, but honestly, you are just another sucker of society. i like useability, and most of apple's products are very user friendly, but what kind of point are you trying to make? My mp3 player is about the same, if not the same size as yours, i can record my voice, put oggs on it, listen to the radio on it, and put my pictures on it and watch movies on it, though watching a movie on a 2" screen isn't really my cup of tea. downsides? i *only* have 20 gb of space, the buttons take awhile to learn, but it isn't really rocket science and once you get it down you're fine, and the lack of really good mac support kinda sucks. but i payed like 200$ less than you.

have fun with those pictures.

I should get a new one. My battery in my mini lasts just long enough to go running around the block, the hospital and the building I work in. Time to get a fullsize ipod for teh long haul

I think the mini has longer battery life in general...

The new, color-screen standard iPods advertise a 15 hour battery life, and cost the exact same for a 20 GB as they used to.

I have the first one, which was back when they used to advertise 5 hours.

My iPod's standard warranty runs out in a few weeks, but I doubt I'll be buying the Applecare extended one, mainly because I plan to buy a new one with color screen later this year.
