I haven't played Quake 3 in a very long time. I just installed it. But when I go to Multiplayer it doesn't detect any servers. I have DSL so my connection is always on.

Help?

Have you installed the 1.32 point-release? BTW, the builtin browser sucks. Use an external one like The All-Seeing Eye.

Now, I've installed everything and am up and running once again after a 3-year hiatus.

Now...how do I jump right into a specific server using the IP?

Bring down the console (press the ~ button, or the key next on the left to your number 1 key)
Type:
\connect "ipadressinherekthx"
Tata.

you can also set ASE to launch q3 and automatically connect to the server you selected

Hehe but isn't that the purpose of ASE? To like, connect to servers you click on? :)

ASE also executed any autoexec in your mod folder you are playing, very nice if you are like me and have 30 different cfg files :P
