What possess's people to drink coffee

I have never really understood why people drink coffee, it isnt good for them and really, in the run of the day, makes them more tired.

If people ate healthy, and i dont mean only the 4 food groups, chips and chocolate are fine to eat, in moderation, then they would be more awake in the morning and feel better throughout the day. I eat an apple for my natural caffinee each morning and i always feel great, and i have energy, people i view drinking coffee are always tired in the morning and just get coffee "boosts" when they drink it.

People dont realise that alot of them waste $180 a month (30 day period) on coffee. This is assuming that a large coffee is $1.50 and they drink 4 coffees a day. Obviously this number can change depending on your location, but its an average. Thats quite a bit of money that could be spent elsewhere.

It makes no sense to me, really.

Your analysis completely fails to account for the addictive qualities of caffeine, or the cultural & marketing reinforcers.

This peer review finds your paper wanting, and we thus reject it.

Caffinee takes ages to become addicted, it isnt like smoking where its something you need gum/patch/anal method to stop drinking it.

I watch TV as much as the average person and i dont drink coffee, marketing only works if you are a mindless drone.

there's more to marketing and cultural forces than tv. Your very social consicousness is largely a product of the culture you live in.

The use of the drug caffeine is incredibly normative. This has massive implications upon people's behaviours and judgements around caffeine.

It's probably the same reason why people go to McDonalds and get a Bic Mac and a Diet Coke.

It is very easy to become dependent upon caffeine. It has profound effects upon the mind and body, many of which are very functional (increased cognitive abilities/alertness) within certain contexts (high workload expectations, etc).

Whenever i eat there i dont lie to myself, I know what i am eating isnt healthy so i dont try and dumb is down by getting diet anything, besides the fact that diet liquids of any sort are gross.

Double Quarter Pounder
extra pickles *5
extra cheese
add bacon
No fries
Fruitopia to drink

Best meal at mcdonalds, and i use the term "best" very loosely here.

I drink coffee cause I personally feel a jolt of energy. I only wish the school provided some for students. Now I know I do not spend $180.00 on coffee a month. I don't buy coffee from a place like Starbucks, I make it and I make it strong as hell and drink it black. Only add milk if I need to drink hot coffee in a hurry. I also like the taste, and especially the smell, of hot coffee in the morning.

Here is what I tend to drink Community Coffee. The New Orleans blend with Chickory is only 5.49 plus shipping for 16 oz.

Not really, i've grown to dislike him from T&T.

He is the reason that kids are growing up tired as hell in the mornings, hes only young and he looks forward to waking up and drinking extremely strong coffee and thinks that schools should have it available to students? Thats stupid, the fact that a "jolt of energy" makes him drink something that will turn his teeth brown and cause the same issues a few bottles of pepsi a day will.

I'm really sorry and going to stop being a twat in GD, or I am going to learn real quick what the term GTFO means.

Complain to a mod or admin. Don't make the situation worse by fighting back.
