What is reality to you?

How do you perceive reality? Seriously sit down and ask yourself this question.

My perception of reality is of a billion worlds existing in each mind capable of understanding it's enviroment. My perception of this world is only one of the many others and the various controls they have over other peoples. Everyone perceives certain things in different manners but the truth is that neither is absolutely correct and that there is in fact only one way in which things will happen at any given moment but that those moments are actualy influenced by any type of matter and us with our conciousness. We are in essense playing with reality.

It's more of a philosophical question than a scientific one.

I will not be moderating this thread. Risk of frustration is too high. :p
Sure, though, its all philosophy so yea, you're fine saying whatever you want so long as you keep that disclaimer on it.

Although, in reading your post, you really haven't 'said' anything. There's just too much missing.

Some people are scared to ponder their reality.

I was attempting to keep it brief. You guys always give me shit for it being too long. So fill in the blanks :p

Not to put too fine a point on it, but, I didn't understand a fucking word of that.

I'm basicly saying though that reality is only what's perceived by it's observer. In other words there is no reality for a rock. Nor would there be if you were braindead, so in reps case, he might not see reality as it truly is. Each person has a different view of thigns meaning there are multiple reality's. One for each creature capable of observation or consioucness no matter how insignificant.

But that even though there are all those reality's which are individualy experienced the truth is that there is only one outcome in each moment possible which observed or not will continue to happen on a universal scale, meaning most of it is out of our control.

It's all relative to your position/velocity/etc.
But the whole of spacetime constitutes one absolute reality.

or, maybe some of us do it so often that your should-have-been-aborted thought comes off as cliche and trite.

Yeah that's what I'm saying that there's only one possible outcome to each moment but that each moment can be influenced by us because we are concious of the universe and can observe what is going on. It's the ability to observe that gives us our unique views on reality. Unfortunately however our observations are not absolute and we cannot fully understand our reality meaning we do not have complete control or ability to predict what will happen next. It's either a limitation of our ability to perceive or a limitation of our own conciousness.

Understanding our reality does not necessarily have to include the ability to predict what happens next.

No? Are you sure?

If uncertainty is a fundamental aspect of reality, then an understanding of said reality implies that you will not be able to predict all future events. I'm not going into the details though.

So? Uncertainty has nothing to do with the observation of an event. The event, whether it was random or not is irrelevant. But there is one thing that's universal, there was only one outcome of that event, whatever it was. It's possible to predict what will happen next but that does not mean we are always correct hence our reality's might be different in a situation depending on who's going to be correct or incorrect until further observation can join both reality's together. But they'll never be identical no matter what since we both have different perspectives on everything because of our inability to have a complete understanding (or ability to observe) of everything

Time to stop. Uncertainty does have something to do with the observation of an event, actually, although not related exactly to what you are discussing here. Wave functions collapsing upon measurements of particles, etc...but nevermind.

"It's possible to predict what will happen next but that does not mean we are always correct..."

What the fuck?

Sorry Kracus, I'm backing out.

Enjoy the further discussion.

And yes I also understand observing an event can affect the outcome.
