Oh my god. That's...that's not PS'd, is it? Ok, even if there never was goatse...how fucked up is it to build a ride that has you spinning around in a giant manass?

OMG, that is him, isn't it. I miss those comics. Without the colonoscopic content, of course.

I recently downloaded the cartoon versions of Asterix and Cleopatra and Asterix and the Twelve Tasks. Good stuff.

erm...well

the comics are french. but they're just about all translated into english and you can get them at pretty much any barnes and noble or big book store like Borders. (i dont know if you were asking about this at all).

the movie (cartoon version) i use to watch when i was a kid on the disney channel so i thought they had a hand in converting the comic to cartoon. i dont know if thats true though. its hard for me to tell from imdb. it might actually be french made as well and someone (disney?) dubbed it. i dont know how that can be seeing that the dubbing job is spot, spot on...so that makes me think it was made in english. point is, i really dont konw.

the live action movies i dont know anything about. obelix looks disgusting from some screenshots ive seen, but they seem to get fairly decent ratings.

you can get the movies (cartoon version) on bittorrent.

i think it might be vice versa for kids? the cartoons seem a bit more slapstick which might appeal more to them (really appealed to me when i was young :icon32: )

anyway, yeah for adults the comics are probably better im thinking. lets you really take a good look and enjoy the drawings and more subtle jokes and shit.

i was about 6 when i started to read those things. ofcourse i was introducted by that kind of humour by my dad so i know lots of those 'old' stuff.

but yea, some common knowledge about european history is needed to appreciate the subtle humour in those comics :D
