Hi James,i see you are a fellow aussie, from what ive read in your other posts, youre still new to Q3, there are some servers in oz that you may be able to play on,post and let me know if youre on dial up or BB, im taking it as a given your looking at playing FFA or TDM, unfortunatly the most popular game mode in oz is CTF or Freeze, as far as i know most CTF clans that are playing now are good/very good so unless your game improves a lot the future looks kinda grim, but you never know

lol@ s@m.
give those servers s@m put up a try,hes on dial up to so im taking it those servers are more or less for dial up players.
if you feel like playing some ctf,try the optus servers, but be aware the players on optus are good and never try the optus duel servers

well at least for a year or two

Use "All seeing eye" for servers and I would like to join. Well I dont know about "beginners" cause I'm not beginner but I just want to have some fun, play some team deathmatches.

all it means is that server and you have different versions, a server telling you its using protocol 68 means you need the 1.32 patch/point release to play on it.
might be a bit late to ask this but...
you do have the full version of Q3 dont you and not just the demo?

yeah i have the full version but does it matter if i have a burnt copy of it wen it comes to playing on the net?

No, but it does matter if you have a valid CD-key. Without one, you won't be able to play online in 1.32.
