What would be wrong with shooting yourself in the back of the head? From an anatomical point of view it would make the most sense if you're trying to kill yourself.

Because your life functions are not operated by the frontal lobe. Shooting yourself in the temple is not the most effective way to ensure death. You want to aim for structures in the lower-back part of the brain. I thought we had a thread about this already.
