Statistically, the Hispanic rate of high school graduation trails the U.S. average. Hispanic immigrants tend to have a very strong work ethic, and teens rush to get jobs before graduating.
Yeah. That must be why :icon26:

All Mexicans are Hispanic, not all Hispanics are Mexican.

heh. bit of contrived logic there.
I wouldn't be surprised if kids dropped out of school due to economic necessity (need jobs to feed themselves or support their kids, etc) - and i wouldn't be surprised if they have a high work ethic.
But to say that their high work ethic leads them to drop out early sounds ridiculous.
Which textbook is that?

Supervision 5th ed, Samuel C. Certo
The thing was $100. You'd think they'd print it in more than two colors for that price

A (white) girl I know was born in Africa and she always gets loads of bullshit for selecting African-American on forms, and her spam e-mail is geared towards blacks. She's always getting shit from blacks who lots of times unfortunately don't even know where they're from genealogically, yet they call themselves "African-American," just because most dark skinned people live there.

I think family life probably has a lot to do with it... there's not much of an emphasis on education I don't think. Maybe they get jobs to help support their families, but I doubt they do it because they
want to...

AlJazeera, that problem is due more to their strong Catholic
ethics and failure to be responsible than anything else.

Yeah, I've known some blacks who call themselves African-American even though they're not... and of course there are a lot of white Africans... African-American does not mean black, yeesh. But we can't call it black anymore, that's not politically correct...

Here's another shocker... The blacks say that if you have a, "Drop of black blood in you," that makes you black. What if they have a, "Drop of white blood," in them?
ACLosers.
