Scratched CD, Cant install.

I bought the game when it first came out, but was never able to install it becuase it got a deep scratch on it before I could load it. ( on the very outer edge, and bombs when trying to install the Pak3) I'd love to play it finally, as I just found the cd in its case in a box. Where can I go to get a copy of the game so that I can use my serial number and play it? Or is the number tied to the copy of the game itself?

why dont you try fixing the CD instead?
Cleaning/Using Scratch remover?

Seeing as you bought the game it would be acceptable to download a copy, and use your CD key.

The scratch is through th top of the CD meaning the reflective surface is damaged.

Why did you never attempt to return the game and get a copy that works?
I for one, believe you saw they way we were willing to help AssembleThis and are trying to dup us into linking you to a copy of the game...

Yep pak3 comes from the patches not from the cd. That's what i thought.

I'm not sure that we was referring to pak3 specifically, he may have just been confusing the .pk3 extension. 
Everything needed to play the game except the 457MB pak0.pk3 is obtainable from the patches. Barring of course a CDkey... But single player can be played without one. Not to mention how easy it is to obtain one. (even though a warzed key will probably be usless online)

These days, copies of Q3A are usually sold with PR 1.30 installed (and thus pak3.pk3).

The game is only $10 and we're not here to "help" a person obtain copyrighted material.
