Doesn't feel any slower. Some say it is, but I think it's FOV related. Same icons as in Q3 on the weapons that are in Q3 also. And I've heard it's Q3 sounds also. Wonder if this will be in the retail game. I remember q3test had a bit of Q2 fonts and sounds as well.

The thing that worries me is that pic of the kid playing it. Hes getting only 56 fps on a new fucking uber-dell!!

i downloaded the video about 2 hours ago so it must have been taken down recently. And no you can't have it from me, i deleted it.

trying to get the Q3 feel back and mimicking Q3 are two different things. seems like they went for the latter
jumppads galore, bobbing spinning item pickups, healthbubbles.. it looks like a q3 mod, indeed.
we'll see how it turns out though

The map and the items look very Q3-ish, but the weapon models remind me of UT2004, pretty gay to be honest.

Yeah, got the same feeling of the weapon models. But UT never felt like Quake or the other way around. And I don't think they have made it feel like it now either when you test it your self.

I dunno grudge, i thought UT2k3/4 was pretty gay until I actually played it. Its a fun game.

This is just like Quake 3 and Quake 2 combined. A bit to colourful at times, i.e. the huge hud (Do people not make games on big monitors?)

Does anybody know these maps? New? Remade oldies?

I always got the feeling that the UT weapons were toys and the Quake weapons were used and worn down etc.. I like the feeling of the Quake weapons more than UT.

I have to say, on watching the videos, its very, very Quake 3 like in terms of speed, weapons, what you can do, how you do it, weapon switching etc etc...

Now all i can hope for is that they have ported a few DECENT levels from past quakes like they said they would.
