zonealarm question

i have this program constantly asking me for permission to access the net through ZA, and everytime i click "remember this setting" and click "DENY" it still pops up..

i have no idea how the program got into my system, its from "www.abetterinternet.com" but the actuall filename is different..

i have, doesnt seem to work to get rid of it...

i thought zonealarm was supposed to prevent shit like this..

Try setting a more advanced rule in Zonealarm which blocks the application on all protocols and ports. The program might be climbing ports (trying each port one after the other to get out).

Alternatively it might be creating copies of itself all over your HD. In which case you absolutely need to get rid of it with a Virus scanner.

BTW Zonealarm protects you from exploits ONLY if you understand how to set it to do so. Also, Zonealarm doesn't protect you from downloading then running malicious files of your own will.

come on man, how else do you explain all the troubles you've had? it's either massive amounts of viruses or boatloads of of spyware. no other regular member on this forum has as much trouble as you with that crap.

I must admit som seems like a big n00b with all this spyware crap infesting his rig. Last time I've had spyware infect me was in 2001. :p
