at least u can call linux a OS and yes its not "userfriendly" if u dont know how it works.

Everyone being proud and satisfied of bluescreens and security holes, thinking he is safe behind his icons and install scripst eaten by viruses and worms and that it is userfriendly chewing up wildly hardware resources, i guess is mentally build like "Mr. unSafe unstable" itself and surely has a lag of sharing ideas and the ability to learn. Because the answer u know, can only be answered knowing the question. So start to question things u not allowed to know.

Greetings,

Bluescreens are almost unheard of unless driver corruption or faulty hardware is involved anymore and security holes are patched up on a regular schedule. You might notice that *nix also frequently patches its own security holes and isn't ultimately stable unless it has been properly configured and tweaked.

*nix is great for devs, web servers, or file servers etc but the fact is that competent admins don't come cheap so most businesses pay out more in user training and maintenance than they would for just going with a Microsoft or Novell product. *nix is also great for nerds who have a ton of time on their hands to sit and screw with their OS, but heres a newsflash: most people aren't nerds and don't give a shit about learning to tweak drivers or recompile a kernel.

Look, do we need to drag this off into a Linux V windows argument when someone is looking for some completely unrelated assistance?

Snit, you came to the forum looking for help with Linux and that's fine, but jumping into another thread with some Linux fanboy bullshit (when it's COMPLETELY irrelevant) makes you look foolish, and probably reduces people's will to help you out.

Quite right Foo. This debate isn't going to go anywhere but in circles (like they always do) so it's been split from the original topic and locked.
