Time to make the first help thread in OS X

Got an iBook back in December, one of the new 1.2 ghz models, and upped the RAM to 512 MB. I've been wanting to install a few games on it for the times my PC is elsewhere and and I want to pickup and play. I've tried the RTCW demo, which runs quite well, but I really would hate to shell out money for a game I already bought. Is there some way to use the same discs and key on my Mac? I guess this could also go for Q3 as well.

for q3 all you have to do is make a quake3 folder, make a baseq3 folder and put it in the quake3 folder, copy the pak0.pk3 off of your pc cd, put it into the baseq3 folder, and download all of the updates...put all of those pakx.pk3's into baseq3 and one of those updates comes with the application thingamabob

it is something like that

i wasn't aware that there ARE games other than q3 so canis will have to help you there

Hail to all Mac Quakers!
Is there an OSX G5 optimized version of Q3A now? (I have a G4 app)

There is no G5 optimized version. The latest version that's on idsoftware's FTP site is G4 optimized only, but the G5 takes advantage of the G4 code.
