There was a programming forum that I never visited and here it is again.

Felt like being a part of the hype.

But... So I don't get yelled at, I guess I'll ask a question.

What all is involved in editing and using the Q3 Source? What exactly do I need to model? Code? How can I learn? I seek answers from YOU!

edit: and so you don't think I'm completely incapable of learning any of this, I did take Visual Basic 6 classes (yea i know, whoopeee) and I did teach myself how to code html (again, whooppeeee).

You'll need a compiler (MSVC++ or gcc) and knowledge of C (or C++ if you're going to work on Q3Radiant). Reading an OpenGL tutorial or two won't hurt either.

milkshape is a very good modelling tool, and it's also very cheap compared to things like 3ds.

..but for that side of things, check out the LEM forum.

You need to be about 1000x smarter than you are now. Asking "what do I need to model" in a programming forum is your brains way of saying you'll never, ever be smart enough to understand even the most basic elements of programming. Or modelling. Or anything beyond working in wal mart.
