Want to meet absolutely batshit insane christians?

The people there are awesome. Seriously, this is some of the funniest shit I ever read.

Like this little gem:

justthinking wrote:Just read where the pope drew a crowd of a million people in Germany.

I was thinking - Wow, that's a lot of people....and then thought, what political leader could do that today? What world leader today can draw that kind of "positive" audience? (Meaning the crowd is not there to protest him).
CJL wrote:Bill Clinton.

This man is still very, very, very popular, especially outside of the US. Most Europeans that I know think he was the best President we ever had. Just my thoughts. And no, I do not think Bill is the ac. That person is yet to be revealed.
That's bullshit. Bill Clinton is the antichrist if I've ever seen one.

or this one:
Damaris wrote:Does anybody think it may be possible that the Gog-Magog War will start after we have pulled all our troops our Iraq? When do you all think it will start? Any ideas?
Yes, that is why America must stay in Iraq. All that WMD talk was just meant to confuse the god-hating pinko liberals.

or this one:
Daddygirl47 wrote:Hey all,
Just wondering if any of you know what the American Indians' thoughts are on this particular time in history.
comicnurse wrote:I am very close to three American Indians who are christians. They feel the same way- Jesus will come for us soon. No difference. :)
Girl do you WANT to go to hell? Mention that pagan bullshit one more time and you're banned. You ain't draggin me down into Satans furnaces.
Russel wrote:My great grand mother looked like a full blood cherokee, and my family has the high cheek bones of the cherokee. We hear about all the bad things that the Europeans brought to this country, but they also brought the christian message and I believe that our nation has been blessed because of it.
Who cares they slaughtered hundreds of thousands? THEY FUCKING BROUGHT US THE CHRISTIAN MESSAGE!
(btw having high cheekbones makes you native american)

It's the irony-free zone.

So if you are, I guess he was just a writer who wanted to write about a different reality (he had never visited America). Kind of like the people who write furry porn fanfiction.

Holy shit these people are crazy:
Beth Goodtree wrote: Even the best professionals occasionally slip and let their true feelings come through. Condoleeza Rice did it today and we now know her for what she truly is: A genocidal warmonger.

"In an interview with The New York Times published Thursday, she said, 'Everyone empathizes with what the Israelis are facing' and said that in the interest of advancing peace, "It cannot be Gaza only."

Already, with the firing of rockets at not just Israel, but a US military base and a US ship, it is obvious that Ms. Rice's statement is shockingly naive, at best, for the US Secretary of State. But let's look at that statement more closely, specifically, this portion of it: "...in the interest of advancing peace, it cannot be Gaza only."

Since Ms. Rice is so concerned with "advancing peace," we must then ask 'why is there war?'

The answer to this is simple. The Arabs/Muslims have never accepted the reestablishment of the Jewish state as the aboriginal and historic homeland of the Jews. Within hours of Israel's founding, she was mercilessly attacked from all sides by the Arabs.

And why?

Certainly not because Jews 'stole the land.' All the land was purchased legally from the original owners -- whether they were from "Palestine" itself or elsewhere. Furthermore, top dollar was paid for this land which, in many cases, was uninhabited, undeveloped and, in many cases and hardly more than swamps and rocks.

this person overlooked the huge antiwar crowds from 2-3 years ago, where people were there to agree with the speakers, even if they were opportunistic bandwagon-jumpers like charles kennedy

she's just repeating the myths, especially the part about swamps and rocks and it being uninhabited (i.e. there were only arabs living there)
