Currently I have an ATI X300SE PCIE card (128 MB) which is ok but I really hate it's qwerky display issues with the drivers and REALLY want to head back to Nvidia. I also am not looking to get the top of the line since I don't really game anymore but am anticipating Q4. With that in mind, is this card decent?

I have near enough the same card in my machine
Its an excellent card bang for buck wise and as shown
has alot of potential
Here is mine with some tweaking
Now i have a 3ghz 64 AMD with a gig of PC3200 RAM
I have OC'd my system to 3400 speeds and i get this in doom 3
everything on highest quality (ultra mode) @ 1024*768

Its definatly a fantastic card and worth getting if your on a budget!
If you could get a 6800 do it tho, the extra pipelines help loads

6600 is a nice card on a budget/non gaming use. Performs faster than a 9800 pro if i remember correctly

Ah, still a nice overclock. I was about to torture you for your OCing secrets lol. My Athlon XP 2500+ Mobile is running 2.4 right now. The only problem is that HL2 hates me and my OC. HL:S and CS:S don't hate me as much, and D3 has no problem, but HL:2 hates my OC and I don't know why, I pull somewhere around 160 FPS.

run memtest, and see if it blips or anything ( errors ) then run somthing that is cpu intensive ( Super PI and etc ) for a wile and see if she hickup's, HL2 is usually pritty good at finding invonerablity's with computers.
Don: nice score man, i'm pulling 112.4 with a 3200+ and a 9800 pro.

I've run memtest for a good 12 hours, I will try this Super PI Tuesday when I goto school, as seeing as my computer has a B52 Bomber engine for a CPU Fan (Tornado 92mm) I can't really run it while I sleep
