I use my laptop at home and at school, both wireless
at home, in order to have azureus/ emule work correctly, I had to port forward through my 2 routers and have manually configured the details in the TCP/IP screen.
At school, I need to have DHCP enabled in order to be able to access the intardnet

How can I make shortcuts or whatever, so that I dont have to reconfigure my laptop each time when I have used it at school and arrive home?

couldn't just make two different .bat files, which alter all your settings, do your net retart and ipconfig /renew and sort you out? unless the settings couldn't be sorted out in the registry.?

under the 'advanced' tab on TCP/IP settings there is an area to enter alternative ip addresses and DNS information. Put your fixed info in there and set the main ones to auto.

Might be a bit OTT for what you need, but this proggy may or may not be useful.
