they're too damn long - give a guy like tarantino too much creative control and he'll give you a movie so long that it needs splitting into two separate movies that are still too damn long. great director, but he meanders. his long-time editing partner sadly died not so long ago, and i doubt he'll bring in anyone too critical/independent to replace her - don't know if she was still around for django but i hope it isn't another two-soda movie like inglorious basterds.

..that said, this trailer looks like a lot of fun and most importantly, Tarantino's only 'presenting' it rather than writing, directing or producing.

I dunno, if it doesn't take itself too seriously (and most films Tarantino is involved with don't take themselves seriously) it could be an enjoyable romp.

Problem with most of these types of movies is that they bring everything in a "look at me being awesome" way. A fresh sprinking of self mockery and a tongue-in-cheek way of presenting it will possibly make it worthwhile.
