Memphis Intoxicated Joined: 26 Sep 2001 Posts: 20934	Posted: 05-31-2008 01:57 PM                  On Vista. Everytime i open IE, tabs spam up with ads. In Firefox I get wierd shit such as Google refusing to search for anything - when search is clicked nothing happens whatsoever. Some other sites are completely inaccessable such as pidgin.im. I've ran adaware muliple times and nothing but a tracking cookie comes up which gets deleted. Virus scan comes up blank. Anyone know anything else I can try?

For things that don't classify as viral, you've either got to know what you're doing and remove it manually (or never get it to begin with), or get guidance from someone who can (that's where hijackthis comes in) And I agree it's often simpler and more beneficial to just format.
