cds dont load anymore,
sounds like it trys to spin them, but then spits em out after about 30 seconds.
Is it dying? :tear:

is there a firmware or something else that might help?
im on iMac g3, os10.3.9. its the good ol slot loading type.

worst case scenario you get an external cd drive (get a firewire one) that runs cds a hell of a lot faster, and it won't even be that expensive. but did you just do any sort up mac update recently?

no updates, not for ages, might shop for an external cd next week....

You can replace the internal drive.
