I just got a new copy of Q3 Gold the other day and I had been running on OS 9 with the v1.30 that came on the disc. I just updated to 1.32c and got on OS X and now I have a problem with the brightness in the game. The brightness option in the settings of the game doesn't work (the picture stays the same whenever I move the slider) and I am just stuck with this grayish-contrast lacking picture. Has anyone experienced this? I am on a G3 iBook with 800 MHz and 256 MB Ram running Jaguar 10.2.8

You can use the console to change the brightness with the command r_gamma #, where the "#" is the brightness. I use anywhere between 1.5-1.8, depending on the map. This value is what the slider changes, so if entering it manually doesnt change anything then you've got some odd problem. See if this works.
