Icculus provide a universal binary that's based on SDL. Not as fast as the original port for the Mac but that's only PowerPC based. The Windows version will be the fastest version but either way, enable smp. You might try benchmark the icculus Quake 3 on both XP and MacOS for us. I've not seen that done on the same kit.
