Is it a "retelling" of the events of Quake 2 (like DooM 3), a sequel, prequel, or unrelated? Wondering if I should play through Q2 to kill the next week until it arrives.

P.S. I went to BestBuy today to see if they were getting the SE as well as regular edition. They are, the pre-order applies to it. While I was at the upcoming games rack, an employee came up and started telling me F.E.A.R. was better. Like Quake 4 is a waste of my time and I should get F.E.A.R. instead. I told him either one's gonna run like shit on my PC, I'd rather it be Quake 4. :icon25:

The way I understand it is,
its two minutes after Q2 (single player)ended and your picking up where that left off.

As far as playing through Q2 before, go for it, do it as fast as you can without getting fragged, its fun :)

Excellent.
I'll get right on that, too bad I wont have the expansions until I buy the SE. :(

And Duhard: Yeah they are. Even SOAPboy was smart enough to quit that place. :olo:

Or, play Quake1 as fast as possible. There's a single player map that can be finished in ~15 seconds with some good bunnyhopping.
