If people have to pay it will just make them upset and also split up the small multiplayer community even more -- the haves and have nots of expansion. Couldn't they easily slip in liquids by giving us new maps with the liquids as examples as well as updating the SDK for custom map makers? I suppose they would also have to add swimming animations, bubbles, breathing, and drowning for water too. The bubbles in Quake 3 were fun.
