Re: Happy Birthday
How ancient are you now? Back before Q4 came out and the scene was still rolling at seven thousand players plus, I felt like I was the old one. The good majority of the American players are in between their mid-thirties to their early forties. It seemed as if all of the European player were about ten years younger than I was. I was twenty-four when I started playing this game. My son started playing it when he was eleven because he was always exposed to it through his childhood because of me. He plays QuakeLive now, so now the guys that are my age are playing against teenagers. I have a very difficult time chatting with a teenager on line because their world is much different than mine is, so half of the time when I think that I'm playing against some asshole, it turns out that I'm playing against a kid that's going through puberty. I'm not sure if someone that is in their late thirties is an old fart or not, but damn I feel old when I play online.

This is so sad.

From the sound of it, you're a lot more ancient than I am. Sorry, bro.v1l3 wrote:How ancient are you now?
(I was playing video games at an age that was probably not entirely healthy - parents tried to keep me away from them but I always found ways to "moonshine" them into the house)

If it's a month and a half ago, some things are best unsaid, particularly if it involves necro'ing an old thread.
