Hereafter = Fucking lame shit.

Unknown = 7/10 - Reasonably entertaining but it's been done a billion times.

Battle Los Angeles = 7/10 - Yeah...I thought it be another cheeseball Muricuh Fuck Yeah movie with eleventy billion huge, slo-mo explosions...but it wasn't. It was a pretty good war flick TBH...exactly what Terminator Salvation should have been. Some cheese, some ugh-god-did-he-just-say-that? moments but overall an entertaining movie and thank fucking god they just focused on the small squad and the combat. They smartly cut out any bullshit involving who the aliens were, what the White House was doing, etc...anything that would give Will Smith an opportunity to meet the president and deliver his usual retarded dialogue.

Drive Angry = 6.5/10 - Moronic Nicolas Cage sorta reprises his supernatural Ghost Rider role in this movie, a film that was far more entertaining than I thought it would be. There's something to be said about shooting dead multiple armed attackers in a hotel room while simultaneously fucking a waitress. William Fichtner stole the show as The Accountant.

Firewall = 6/10 - Another of the forgettable, formulaic films that Harrison Ford does whenever he needs a paycheck. Not a horrible movie...certainly better than "Air Force One"...but not all that great.

The Next Three Days = 7/10 - There are times when this movie certainly feels three days long. It has an interesting story and good performances from a strong cast but takes waaaaaay too long to get the intensity up.

The Adjustment Bureau = 6/10 - Extra points for some originality in the way it's all presented but could have been better. Meh.

4 was the huge loser because half of every ep was Rita and the kids whining. 3 was pretty dodgy though... just goofy.
so far 5 (not current, but most recent) is ok, but i can see how a couple of the subplots could take it in strange directions.

Just watched A Clockwork Orange again, love the soundtrack and a must-watch in my book.

Re: Dexter, I found I appreciate season 3 a lot more(I rewatched it) after having suffered thru 5. They were the same kind of "format" so to speak, but 3 did it well whereas 5 failed. I'll still stick with 1,2,4,3,5.

The Adjustment Bureau - 5 / 10

Interesting concept. Didn't know it was basically a love story. Almost fell asleep.

Sucker Punch - 8 / 10

Hot women, guns, great soundtrack, clockwork nazis, more hot women, dragons, and samurai with gatling guns.

Fuck the plot, go see this movie.

I downloaded it, and I tell you something...awesome effects do nothing for me if they are not connected to a story or have some purpose. The movie was just a fucking special effects resume.

City of the Lost Children 7/10

From those ultraweird frenchies that are also the creators of Amelie and Delicatessen. It's the weirdest one by far, very much trippy and out there... i love the way they made their own little fucked up world with it's own little weird rules, kinda like they did in Delicatessen but moreso. My only gripe is that the story was so incredibly strange i found myself struggling to understand what was happening and why in half the scenes, took away a bit of the immersion perhaps. Still, more than an enjoyable watch

ty phant for recommendation :D

Get him to the Greek.

Yeah, some chuckles were had.
Really have to be able to stomach Russell Brand though;
I somehow can, but I can also understand how people absolutely loathe the prancing tit.

Kickass. I'd give it a 8 out of 10 but I'm a sucker for super hero/comic book type movies. I enjoyed this one a lot. Gotta get Scott Pilgrim tho, haven't seen it yet.

Scott Pilgrim vs The World 9/10

Scott Pilgrim falls in love with the supercool & mysterious Ramona, but in order to continue dating her he has to defeat her seven Evil Exes, streetfighter style. Awesomely funny and very sweet... and weirdly nearly all the girls in it reminded me in some way of my own exes, so that was rather odd :)

I simply must own this one on DVD, gonna look for it :D

I have no doubt whatsoever when you watch this film on your DVD player you'll be sitting naked in front of the screen and jacking off to ex-girlfriend fantasies.

On the "advice" of someone who I will proceed to ignore from now on, I downloaded this 1973 movie called The Holy Mountain. It appears to be some avante-garde festival of WTF. Unrateable.

If you're not a teenage female and you rate Scott Pilgrim anything over 7/10 then you're a faggot.

Anyone that thought Predators was a good movie has fallopian tubes, cunt.

I knew nothing about the movie (no trailer, just a description of the plot) so it was a nice surprise when I watched it. Coincidently I gave Limitless a high rating as well because I hadn't seen the trailer for that either.

Source Code 7/10 and that's stretching it.

and I really wanted to like this movie since it's the same dude that did Moon.

Sucker Punch - 7/10 - and that's a low seven. it does well what it does, but what it does isn't much beyond a few pretty cool fight scenes. it would have worked better as a seven part animated miniseries on adult swim or whatev where you wouldn't notice that it doesn't really have a plot or any character development. if you can get over that or really want to watch what would be a decent graphic novel, then it's worth $10. maybe i'm just too easy on comic-bookish action movies with steampunk zombie krauts. =\

Religulous - 6/10 - Not educational or informative, quite simply some guy seeking out the dumbest religious americans he can find (10 a penny) & mocking them in front of the camera, not that that isn't entertaining in itself. Expect lots of this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DGjtmhJ_2os

The Mist - 4/10 - would've been a 2 but for the ending. Awful CGI at the beginning, no suspense, awful characters & cliché filled.

Megamind 8/10

To be honest, I like all animation Dreamworks and Pixar crank out.
Technically, I think a ceiling in 3d animation has been reached that can't be improved upon.
Dreamworks and Pixar understand that, and really invest in the basics (writing/directing/voice acting), and that solid base combined with the eye candy always make for highly enjoyble flicks.

However, the subject matter is always a bit simplistic, moralistic and happy-endy.
Would be interesting to see them produce something a bit more edgy and daring, and not 100% guaranteed to please crowds.
Won't happen, though; Animation is just too fucking expensive to experiment with.
