Protocal 43

After getting the v1.32 patch to work on quake, I tried to enter a server, and I get "This server uses protocal 43"
and it doesnt let me in.
What might cause this? and is there a way I can change my protocal to 43? =/

Bots

I've downloaded custom models, and whatever else is amusing.
It says in the .txt accompanied in the folder, that the models work as bots, ok.
None of them do.
I was wondering how you are supposed to load a custom bot into a skirmish match? or LAN match?

Doest matter anyhow. I got it working, because I burned back-up copies of all my games, before I bought a CD scratch removal device. In any case, I have all my files correct.

Well, im using Quark right now, ot build a map, because I haven't built any before, and as a starter, I'd like to use something easy.. thus leaving quarediant or whatever alone. In that event, Quark saves generally as a .map file. I cannot open it in qeradiant because it gives me a parse error. And ...

mmm.. My "Q3Map2 Toolz" program isnt working correctly, or at all. When I double click the icon, it does nothing. When I force open the program; I get an error about an incorrect path to a bot compilier; then it opens. But I cant do anything. Might there be a more simple tool to convert a ...

.map ~ .pk3

I was wondering, how you are supposed to (if even possible) change a .map (from say Quark or qerdiant) to a .pk3 so that you can use it in Quake 3 Arena?
It would be a big help if you could help me out here
Thanks.

Sorry to bump this, but I'm still having problems. But, I had 1.4.0, in which I went and got the 1.5.0 I checked the 'scripts' directory folder, I have no shaders, but I do have the shaderlist.txt or whatnot. This might actually be a problem, seeing that I'm supposed to have a bunch of shaders in th...

This problem, is really bugging the hell out of me. It doesn't happen in all maps, only some, and I'm not knowing why this is occuring really.
Anyone possibly be able to provide help?

Well, I've never done anything involving models before. I heard of a program called "Wally" that could easily edit textures for the files, then found out, it doesnt associated with .pk3 files.
I'm unsure if there is any other program like that.

Editing old models

I've already tried to find ways to physically edit their appearance, but nothing good came up. I do have some custom models, that just have really, childish textures, but an amazing design. So, I was wondering if anyone knew of a way to texture edit Q3A models? I'd assume finding a program wouldnt b...

Map editing/making

Well, after a while of searching, ive come up dry for anything half way decent. I also placed this thread here; seeing as I require help. I was wondering if anyone here knew of a good map editing or creating utility, for quake 3 arena? If so, could you please give me the specs and where to get it? T...
