Re: Q about german and english versions of Quake4 (MP related)

I screwed up and bought the German version too. Apart from the singleplayer experience taking a serious hit with all the cut-out content, multiplayer compatibility was a must. Glad to report the German Key/License and DVD works fine with English files though.

Any news on Q4Max for Mac?

Any news from hemostick & co regarding a Mac compatible version of Q4Max 0.78d?
Has been a while since they said they were going to enable it with an upcoming patch. Any news on 0.78e then?

Re: Hey everyone!

Calling yourself missing digits as a carpenter was already cruel. What you're telling about those dogs is downright sickening. At least there seem to be people who care about it, which is a good thing.

I think I have a UB build of Q3 lying on my disk somewhere, and I don't think it's ioquake either. Am I hallucinating already?

I had the opportunity to test a MacBook right when they were released. Went to Apple Switzerlands press meeting for a mag and was able to get a loaner for a week to test it. It's a really nice machine for everything but gaming, due to the crappy integrated graphics chip. But I also noticed how hot i...

usually fps between 121 and 125 where said to work best. Is that unattainable to you now?
If yes, is it not possible to play on current servers without the 1.32c patch? (Yes I haven't played in years).

1.32c is a lot slower than 1.32b G4 version June 19 2002 (?). They must have been a bit lazy with the optimisation options in the compiler.

I haven't ordered it yet, my machine wouldn't be able to cope with it so well anyway. I guess I'll be getting it for my next desktop machine. An Intel iBook is next though.

Wankdorf is just a quarter in Bern. However, I don't know what the etymological root of "wank" is, really. I'm pretty damn sure it's got nothing to do with self-stimulation, though.
