Hey this could deffo work if everyone is willing to co-opperate with each other. Like someone said earlier, in industry you have to be prepared to have your work tore to pieces or even scrapped. If a system is worked out, so that each person is allocate a certain ammount of time with the project, an...

I don't get it.. I know im a pain in the arse, but could you please explain how I do that? I have made a diagram of how the fog is set up in the level. The normal fog is working fine, but I cant get the fog in the water working. So where does this chimney go then? http://img20.imageshack.us/img20/65...

Ok.. first off, I did get it working.. I used the shader above but remembered to include the surfaceparm for the fog and it worked. Then I started playing with the lighting and a few other things to get it looking better. When I compiled it, it worked. Then I changed something simple like a light.. ...

Foggy Water?

Is there such a thing? I have started looking at some effects in gtk and I made this haze type shader over my map, but when I put water into the map, it looks like the water stops the fog, how can I make a foggy water shader so it fades with the fog? http://img529.imageshack.us/img529/5513/foggy6dn....

Problem with gtkradiant

Right, heres the thing. I'v been using the latest version of gtkradiant (version 1.5.0) and all seemed fine. Started a level with it about a month ago, and even got round to making some models for it. The whole think was working sweet. However, the other day, I ran the prog as normal, and to my surp...

Ok it dosn't matter about the fog thing, but gtk is still not working!? I tried another version (1.4.0 from 1.5.0) and for some reason, that does pretty much the same, except this time it displays a small box instead of the mesh.

Also... does anyone have such a thing as a foggy, water shader that I could take a look at? I have a level with a general haze I made over the whole map, so the water looks crappy now. How do I go about sorting that out?

Erm.. Bloody computer

Hey everyone, my computer just took a giant shit on me, and for some reason gtk wont display the map objects anymore. I opened the map in notepad to see what was going on, took all of the meshes out of it, saved and tried again, and gtk wont let me put the models back in. I can't even compile anymor...

Coolo guys, cheers for that info. What I basically need to do then is to learn how to fully use shaders. Ok I can handle that, but could you make it a little easier, and let me know of any good tutorial sites? I'll have a look through other posts aswell, but fell free to add as many as you can think...
