Are there any Quake 1 development communities out there that anyone knows of? I am trying to do some work with the Quake 1 engine and this defiantly doesn't seem like the place to ask my questions.

I found a tutorial that said putting a "!" infront of the name of the texture would change it to a water brush but it doesnt seem to work.

Okay I did that and it worked. The only problem now is everything is really white. I looks like it lost its color saturation and only has greyscale. I think its a pallet issue. How do I fix this?

So after I do that and compile I no longer need the .wad file? I mean it will compile the textures stright to the .bsp so i dont have to put them in the .pak?

So i've been using Wally's texturing tool to make textures for my Quake 1 maps. I made a .wad file of all of my textures and when put in the ID1 directory in quake GTK Radiant 1.5 can load them into the texture viewer and I can paint all my lovely brushes... hqbsp Check that the file exists...
So I built a map with Radiant 1.5, in Quake 1 mode, in hopes of compiling it in the original quake but every time I try to build I get "hqbsp" not found. Any ideas where I could get it? I've googled it but no go. Any ideas?

Quake 4 texturing and normal mapping!!
I've been mapping for Q3A for a while using GTKradiant 1.5. I am also familiar on normal mapping. If I have a standard texture and a normal map to compliment it how do I get both into Quake 4's editor and working properly? I.E. Displaying on my brushes in game?

GTK Radiant bot pathing
So I read through the "Quake III Editing Archives" but didn't find any resources on making bot pathing. After I run BSPC the bots just kinda stay in the flag rooms having siezures. I beleive this is do to it trying to create its own bot pathing. How do I manually create it in Radiant?

Weird issue after compile.
So I've been compiling and running my map just fine. After my last build though my map doesnt show up in the map browser under skirmish or multiplayer but I can load it from the console.I am using Q3map2toolz. Anyone have any ideas?

How do I build a teleporter that shows whats on the other side? I found the teleporter model with the surface properties but how do I make it teleport my character to a certain spot and that spot be reflected on the portal surface?
