where to buy Q3 Arena?

OK, a friend of mine wants to buy quake 3 arena. I've searched my usual sources and can't seem to find it. It looks like as soon as quake 4 came out, everyone stopped stocking quake 3. Anyone have a good place to buy quake 3? (Perferably in Ontario, Canada).

Cheers

Mike

capturing frames

OK, I've fogotton how to do this.
Capturing frames to a folder. I want to get a decent quality video (not limited by fraps etc). I seem to remember some way to save frames as individual .tga files and then composite in primere etc.

video

How can I make an .avi or .mov demo?
I can record the game demos but can only play them within the game itself. Can I convert a .dm_68 file to an avi or mov? or is there a piece of software that can capture a good video?

thanks

sound issues

For some reason the sound in my quake game is lagging by 3 secs. It only occurs in quake and right from the ID logo, the sound is slow. Makes it very hard to hear someone coming up behind me.

Any thoughts?

I've reinstalled quake and the issue only occurs in this game and none others.

I think I've resolved it.
Saving it as a new file I did a fastbsp with no light and then a seperate light process. I still don't understand what was wrong, but I guess I'll figure that out someday.

Thanks all for your ideas.

I think they're refering to 512 entities. I was compiling with 6000+ brushes with no problem. It seems to be an entity/lighting issue. Either that or some sort of corruption that's stuck with the file.

Thanks for the idea. I checked and at the moment there are no origin textures. I deleted the doors and still have the problem.

cm_inlinemodel: bad number

OK, not sure if this is the right place to post this. I'm very new to mapping and have very limited knowledge. So far my map loads OK, but for some reason, since my last changes, the map won't load and I get a cm_inlinemodel error. I've tried deleting all my changes and the message is still showing....
