Re: President Trump
So, there's the narcissistic clown, or the guy with dementia furthering USA towards Weimar 2.0 or the fall of Rome.. Also, rent is now due for 30% of Americans that have no pay.

Re: New Idtech5 mod Ehrlia (Rage, Doom etc)
XD Oh, they're fucking with me. I ended up choosing Idtech5, probably cause I've played quake my whole life and I'm used it to radiant, but also because I like it more than those other engines. Unity is too cartoony and everyone uses Unreal. Idtech has a dark gritty look to it. Anyways, I'll post up...

Re: New Idtech5 mod Ehrlia (Rage, Doom etc)
I'm glad you're so optimistic Eraser. Actually, the engine is pretty easy to use. At this rate of progress, should be done in a year or two.
I was going to use Overdose as an engine but decided to go with Idtech5, and I'm familiar with his work. Wonder if he'd be willing to help out?

New Idtech5 mod Ehrlia (Rage, Doom etc)
I thought I'd share what I've been working on recently. I'm starting a game using the Rage toolkit, that one day will be huge in scope and go far beyond the engine. For now, here are some screenshots from early work. Website: http://aristocraticart.com/ehrliah MODDB: https://www.moddb.com/mods/ehrli...

Working on a Rage total conversion mod. Need help!
Hey guys. Glad this is still here! I'm working on a mod that is a total conversion mod of Rage. More information can be found here: https://www.moddb.com/mods/ehrlia-summerwheel Regardless, I've spent a lot of time examining with and working with the toolkit, and have learned a lot about Idtech5. St...

Working on a new quake2/4 mod, questions on terrain/curves
Hi there. I am starting work on a new mod; a reconstruction of a classic quake 2 mod (DDay Normandy). To do so, I've been using a newer engine that was based on quake 2 but has been improved to the point of idtech4-5. Anyways, there's a lot of new technology being used now compared to when I used to...
Re: Rage
I prefer the ID Tech 3 tbh, even if it's dated. ID Tech 4 and 5 have this dark bulging look to them which is atrocious.
I realize it's semi-realistic, but everything looks like it's covered in feces.

Re: Sunlight lighting a room?
Tres bien. Scaling textures sacrifices detail, I see. That is why of course that Quake 4 textures are 1024 x 1024. So ... I will use that size. And then I can use the Surface Inspector to condense them into higher resolution. After reading Kat's tutorial I have understood that you use Blender to exp...

Re: Sunlight lighting a room?
Now I forge ahead. The model export worked magically. Two questions appeared. How can I increase details for textures? In Sock's terrain tutorial, the detail was extremely sharp. However, he noted it was only editor pre-rendering. Is there someway to condense textures to 1/4 the size, creating more ...

Re: Sunlight lighting a room?
I'm at school, so I can't post the GTK radiant screenshot. It's a medieval crosshatch window, like this: http://img52.imageshack.us/img52/5848/windowu.png I forgot to put glass in the holes. Right now the wood material (the crosshatches and border) are brushes, and sunlight is supposed to go through...

Sunlight lighting a room?
I've attempted to make a room with three medieval windows. I would like sunlight to pour through the windows from the skybox to light the room. My problem is, no matter what attributes I change for the skybox only a paltry amount of light pours in. Even if I increase the values A LOT, still not enou...

Re: Three newbie questions: Water, Terrain and Sunlight.
Thank-you kindly for the excellent and generous replies. Two more questions. When I dive into the water how do I make it so that my whole view is green, as if I'm viewing everything from under green water? And how do I change the water textue that I textured to the face of the water caulk semi-trans...

Three newbie questions: Water, Terrain and Sunlight.
Water: If anyone would be so kind as to provide me with a shader I could use for water. I'm looking for a certain amount of transparency, the water to be rippling, and an image that appears on the top of the water. The problem I was having was that I went about making water like this: I have a text...
