Re: Looking for Maya artist to clean up character models. *Paid*
I would have to disagree. The personal achievement of completing a map is a reward in itself. Plus, becoming familiar with a program such as Radiant may be helpful to display works on a resume if one is attempting to get a job in graphic or game design. Monetary rewards are only a drop in the bucke...

Feeling retro. Hell yeah. Been so long since I played Q1. I think digging it out and wiping the dust off will be in order.

@fKd Nice slick style base. :D The only thing I see missing is a little steam either generated from vent's or broken pipes. Other than that keep that stuff coming. @Shadow_86 Is that some old school feel your diggin for? It would be nice to see some to take a trip down memory lane. :q1: Michael...

Re: Looking for former Map-center or Levelmakers mods/admins
With 20 brush contests there's no excuses like 'I don't have time for that contest!', that's for sure. :) I'm just saying.......OUCHY It's just hard for me to imagine making a map with only 20 brushes. I can't make a simple room with that amount due to the fact of all my small detailing I do. :olo:...

Re: Unreal textures for Quake 3?
Holy Cow. I wish I still had my copy of TA. But needless to say I have to agree with Delirium with the fact of getting better Textures than TA (no pun to ID on that) cause TA has some cool new Textures/shaders. But all in all the ends don't justify the means. There are some things that just can't be...

Re: Screenshots
Alright I feel it's time for me to post some screen shots of my seventh map. It's a remake of my second map I made around nine years ago. I remade my first map so now I'm face lifting me second. Gloom and Doom Gothic style which is my mapping forte. Never gets old for me. Ive been greatly inspired a...

Also something like this would be a great place for all those newcomers to the community. Although Q3 is up there in age, the engine itself is still remarkable and fun to map for. Along side other engines to be mapped for as well.

Re: Q3Map2 has stopped responding?
Everything that Obsidian wrote is spot on. You are still very early in your process of becoming a mapper and this is all trial and error. I do feel from what I have read that you are trying to move years ahead in your techniques. Slow down a bit and take time to really read up on all the info that i...

Hey Sumatra. Just had a quick little run and I noticed a couple of thing's. [1] Missing sound sound/pukka3tourney7/owl.wav [2] RA? The bots are a little confused on how to get to it. I played 4 matches and spectated a few and noticed they weren't going for it. We all know bots are stupid. :D As far ...

Yep, no offence, pun or dark humour intended. We all started with exactly zero knowledge at some point in our lives. ...And if you stick with it you'll get better. People use to do the same to me when I first started mapping. It's tough at first and very few people stick around the mapping scene af...

Hey Buddy. I didn't play test just spectated looking at the really nice brush and texture work you have going on here. The atmosphere is really thick and rich. I like the prison theme. Only thing missing is some holding cells. :D Here a few screen shots I took and some suggestions.... http://a.image...
