I think Quake 3 Arena will remain one of the great (but simple) FPS of all gaming time.

I like its' simplicity: I use it to past time and relax.
I also like playing Bot matches to see how they do against one another.

I have never seen a size limit.
It appends all games to the same file.
So it can get very large if it's not checked.
It never erases the games.log file.
It only uses the one file.

I have had Q3A since its' release and it had one strange problem. I say strange because it only occurred about 5-6 times since I had it. The only cure to this problem was to uninstall and re-install the game and its' patches. This problem just comes out of the blue: after working fine for years. It ...

Q3A won't create the games.log file.
I know it's only created in skrmish mode.

This happen about a year ago and I forget how I fixed it.
