That is a 2 pole 50 amp GFCI breaker. So the hot tub was most likely 240 volt. What dipshit cut the wires so short? You do plan on reusing them?

The black wire taped red should be a hot wire. The other two, who knows. You'll have to check the panel. Take the panel cover off and take a picture.

Quit being a pussy. Take the panel cover off and take a picture. 5 mins of education will save you 1000's.

I take it the cross bracing is where you plan on attaching the top plate? How did you fasten the the cross bracing to the existing structure?

You really only need 1 every 24". But whatever you do, don't skip out on the toe-nailing part.

I use projects like this as perfect opportunities to buy new tools. May I suggest an air compressor and pneumatic nail gun. Toe-nailing and stud nailing have never been easier.

Imagine how this dump is going to turn out with Geoff doing the work and Gramps telling him how to do it. :olo:

A 2 1/2", #10 should work fine. Buy those for your nail gun and you can use them for all the framing. You might want to use a 16d to fasten the top and bottom plates.

Silly homos that can't participate in conversations about construction, even though they blew the construction worker from the Village People. :olo:

Use 1/4" x 2 1/2" - 3" Tapcons to fasten the bottom plate.

How you ended up at the "evidently" assumption is obviously a fantasy. I'm merely commenting on the immediate conversation. And no, you can't suck my cock.

Just don't use a fucking Tapcon bit to drill the holes, they are made of shit.

Buy a Bosch drill bit.

Or just buy one of those things that uses a .22 round to shoot nails. Never used one myself, but I think you load the nail and the charge in, then smack it with a hammer and the charge sends the nail right into the concrete. I would assume you need special nails for this. Make sure you nail your head to the wall when you're done

Buying a "Shot-Gun", charges and the associated fastening nails for such a small projects is silly. Tapcons are the way to go.

Tools are tools. But having a laser sight on a nail gun might have it's advantages.

The "evidently" part is no fantasy, the evidence being that so many of your posts are about homosexuality... for example your post I'm responding to now.
