@obs: Intense story. Sounds like he may have been in a bit of a hurry and it cost him.

@Mazda: Cuba is grand, hopefully you check out a couple different cities. I went a while back, I remember really liking Cienfuegos, Trinidad and Santa Clara.

ugg i got stuck in a position where i had to listen to a boring person talk

it felt like forever...

it was like when people write those super long paragraphs in a vain attempt to portray themselves as intelligent but it only confirms the opposite !

arg could have said it in a few concise words!

I would've loved to see Santa Clara for the history alone (viva Che!) but we booked an all-inclusive stay in Holguin and the resort there is apparently #1 in the entire country. We tried to come up with a plan to get to Varadero and Havana but it ended up too expensive. We'll have to take another trip for that :D

My boss walked into my office and dropped several hundred bucks cash on my desk. Nice little bonus. Also just booked a family cruise to the Bahamas.

Most legitimate companies don't pay their employee in cash for tax record purposes. In your case it would be the 25% supplemental wage tax on your bonus. Have you asked your employer about it?

It will be in box b of your W2 form, Brian. I'm sure someone at the irs can fast track this issue to prevent any further mistakes.

My last bonus was £4000, treated myself to a Omega. A few hundred is nice though.

As with any small business is all about sales, in this case industrial size solvent and UV printers, software workflow and finishing kit. I'm going in as a consultant until the dust settles then I'll start taking shares.

I can basically make my own title. I'm thinking something like 'supreme commander', something subtle.

Perhaps something German sounding, like 'Oberdruckermeister' or 'Geschaftsfuhrer'.
