Yes, guess like most of the world obesity is a problem there, probably the alcohol.
A great idea no doubt

'being replaced'... I don't think I've swiped once in the past 10 years.
It's a nice idea, but it seems most of this is incorporated in our state electronic id already.
I'm actually not sure if it's EU wide, but I'm guessing it is.

I have four payment cards: checking debit, paypal debit, visa credit, discover credit. I also frequently use gift cards and loyalty cards.

You could also use this for any id cards or key cards such as hotel room keys.

I only have two debet cards for two bank accounts and a credit card, but I use that exclusively for online payments. Credit card use isn't as common here in the Netherlands as it is in the US. In fact, my credit card is set up to fulfill the credit card payment from my bank account within the month, so it's little more than a glorified debet card.

I carry: 1 debit card, 1 credit card, 2 membership cards, 2 pieces of ID.

As with anything like this, the problem is with universal adoption. On top of that, half the places I visit will not even accept a swipe cards, chip cards are a requirement. If they want to move away from having to carry multiple cards the only real solution is to not have to carry any cards at all. Perhaps some universal software app that will allow you to pay with something you have with you anyway, like your phone or a subdermal chip implant. Regardless, it would have to see universal adoption for it to work.

i use these ey its an inside out wallet its thinner than a pen and the other side has a window for pic I.D.

i have black but the brown is gayer

two personal high limit cards, an assortment of cashbills i never use and a business expense card, no debit cards have ever been in it.

this setup has been bulletproof in my front pocket for 15-20 years now!
