Basically the 'opposition' is such a joke atm.

One half wants to self destruct whilst the other half want to chase minority votes with Corbyn being the ring leader and refusing to yield to anyone who disagrees, no one trusts him to be leader of a country when he can't even appease his own party. 70% who voted labour voted remain n all, so that's not gonna go down well considering Corbyns stance on Brexit. Lib Dems fucked over their electorate, royally and no one trusts them and with Scotland voting remain with Labours Brexit stance the SNP have free reign for the foreseeable future, I actually expect the Torys will make some massive gains North of the wall with Labour putting another nail in their coffin as far as the Scots are concerned.

The elections gonna be

Torys - Brexit, brexit, brexit
Lib Dems - Soft brexit / no brexit
SNP - Independence
Labour - NHS

The silver lining is that this should be the end of Corbyn.

From what I've seen I don't actually mind Corbyn. He seems reasonably honest, which is totally different to almost every other politician out there. He really should have pounced on the fact the Conservatives were wide open with no guard though all those months back. He's probably a bit soft to run the country with an iron first though I agree.

I am a lefty so this may taint my opinions :p.

I wouldn't even call him honest anymore tbh, I remember I lost faith in his honesty when he said a train was so crowded that he had to sit on the floor and make a play in the media about it with nationalising things, complete with photos. As it turns out he wanted to sit close to the people he was with and there wasn't any seats available around them. My opinion went from muppet to gobshite pretty much overnight.

I'm a lefty too, a lot harder than most and actually voted for him the 1st time but I don't pretend that the rest of the country is. If Labour wants to be a minority party of socialist values then fair enough but we won't see any further opposition to the Torys from Labour. This is without mentioning Corbyns faults even as the leader of a hard left party, or the problems that come from a hard left party, of which I believe there is many.

It's not about an iron fisted, hard leader either which is what Corbyn is attempting in his own party to bring them into line with 3 line whips, forced resignations and sackings - he can't even fill his own cabinet. He's refusing to budge on issues, it's about his negotiating and leadership with those factions within his own party and completely divided it in the process.

And with his colours nailed to the mast in reguard to Brexit he still can't hold the Torys to account over it, just like he couldn't back then.

Not saying Labours problems end with Corbyn but he's been just as bad or even worse than anyone who's shit the bed. Alot of the PLP are stuck between what their constituency want / has been promised and what Corbyns demanding n all.

Fish rots from the head.

time to dust off my tactical vote and give it to a party i dislike in an attempt to throw a spanner into the entire machinery of government i guess

am curious to know what the turnout will be, given there's no real battle of ideas or principle here

Think I might actually go with Plaid this time, can't vote Green, our candidate is a 2 dollar whore.

The only thing that might throw a spanner in the works is a low turnout, especially if the Torys think they have it sealed. Labour may sound a bit more appealing to me then.

That last bus picture weirded me out. I thought it was near somewhere I used to live. Checked Google Maps, and sure enough, it's Vicar's Hill in Lewisham, right next to Hilly Fields and just up the road from a flat I used to rent.

Also famous for

"White people love playing 'divide and rule'. We should not play their game."

Talking about sending children to private schools as "indefensible" and "intellectually incoherent" despite sending her son to one and trying to keep it quiet.

Being pissed off that her local hospital employed "blonde, blue-eyed girls from Finland, instead of nurses from the Caribbean who know the language and understand British culture and institutions'', and are "Finnish girls, who may never have met a black person before, let alone touched one, best suited to nurse in multicultural Hackney?''

Can't believe Corbyn banged her

in 2002, 1 in 6 French people voted Le Pen; in 2017, it was 1 in 3...

Once shit settles down it'll be back to normal service. Shits still so fucked from the financial crysis + the aftermath of 9/11 there's just a lot of pissed off people around trying to point the blame, not the 1st time an entire generation has been fucked off and turned to right wing values.

Probaly, but hopefully someone by that time would be an agreeable alternative. When you have people like Hillary and Corbyn as the alternative (or even Ed / Brown to some degree) it's not much of an opposition.

I don't know much about Macron, the Dutch or Italian politicians but when shit hits the fan and people notice then it's easy for politicians to find blame and make it real in most peoples minds. In the US and UK atleast, the lack of an opposition to dispel the bullshit has helped Trump, May / Pigfucker become the dominant parties.
