Or is this just an offshoot of the Xbox One as the name suggests? Are they not doing generations anymore? It seems like they’ve adopted the smartphone model and have decided to release a new model every year or so. Is there any indication there’ll be a new generation?

They had to beef up the system however which also results in slightly better graphics and frame rates on new games. I'll be getting one for the vr though.
