I'm not aware of any DRM'd audio files other than the itms m4p files that work on an ipod, but I never looked either.

If you buy unprotected songs or if you burn some to CD and then re-encode them to an unprotected format, you'll be able to play them in iTunes.

Joined: 15 Feb 2004 Posts: 1615	Posted: 07-12-2005 11:37 AM                  iTunes/iPods won't play any of the WMA-wrapped "playsforsure" tracks, but then again, most the plays for sure players don't work with all the stores they're supposed to, and those that do are expensive. I believe that german or russian site that charges by the megabyte lets you choose tons of audio formats, many of which I'm sure work on your iPod. Only thing is, the legality of that site is questionable, and its business practices are unknown at the current time, so be sure you have good fraud protection on your credit card and you aren't afraid to be a little less than legal with your audio.

I buy from there with confidence. oh and "that site" is http://www.allofmp3.com this has been your PSA for the day.
