for mac? ive never had this game and i just went onto the id software site with the intention of downloading a demo of quake 2 to find that there wasnt one for mac....was the game ever released for mac??

yep thats the OS X port for Quake 2, it requires that u have ur original Classic OS version to run, i just wasnt sure if they ever did release it for Mac.

I don't think it was but you can use the Windows CD for the data.
