I'd class it as more of a sport than darts though, which is also apparently a sport.

No photos of the clear bits of ice since they are halfway up and I'm not bringing the SLR up with me while I'm chipping off chunks of ice the size of a brick while swinging a couple of axes.

Doombrain, why u so butthurt? With that mentality, one might say that rolling downhill on wheels isn't a sport either.

New print work for portfolio. Printing everything out onto really thick Giclee (I think that's what it's called) paper. A few of these won't make it, there's a couple I'm not sure about.

is this how they will be presented? I'd get rid of the detailed separators in favor for solid white

Agreed, although I am betting they are each getting their own Giclée (dingdingding - I only know the spelling because I just bought a print myself the other day).

Yeah that's just whatever the collage program I used does to the borders. Shots are going full bleed on A2 paper.

A 'Giclée print' is a bullshit term that old retired men that don't understand ink jet used. You'd be better off asking for a fine art print (on a decent printer...).

Have a gander at http://www.hahnemuehle.com. They make some great papers but i've always found the fibre based papers are great for portrait work.

edit: lovely shots btw

My 5D and RD1 both have a thick layer of dust on them. 90% of the pics i take now are of my kids, the other 9.99999999999999% is biking shit.

This is the last photo i took after the car parked itself.

Sorry, I think I'm misusing Giclee in that case! The paper is hahnemuele photorag - I thought that was also called Giclee. I'm not expert in these matters. In fact, printing is massively complex it seems, I had no idea how much of a minefield it was until I started caring about my portfolio a couple of years ago.

I've done printing for the likes of Steve McCurry (still have the files) and Richard Hamilton so you don't need to tell me mate. we went through £2k of paper with Richard Hamilton until he was happy. He was a lovely man btw.

Fucking hell, how many prints did he end up having after you'd gone through proofing?

I've sent a couple of proofs back that have been just off, but I bet someone like Hamilton has those crazy artist eyes that can see 0.3 too much cyan in the blacks or whatever where I couldn't see 3.0
