By the way, mate, just so you know. VAT is a 20% tax added to all luxury goods in the UK, and a business is required to charge it, by law, once they reach an income threshold of £82,000 a year. You are then allowed to claim back VAT from other vendors on anything you purchase for your business.
As you can see in the picture, I earned 94K for the 07 15 period, and had to charge my clients an extra £18,812, which I then passed on to the HMRC, minus the £866 I'd be claiming back, which is £20 of the £5100 I spent on my business during that period (studio rent, equipment etc).
As you can see from the figures, we have yet more proof of my claims, and not a single exposed wire, thrift store table, or domestic weekend break in sight.
