The art style is pretty generic in general. It would have been more interesting if they went with a 90s futuristic aesthetic.

Who has time to stay invested in a 50 hour long FPS? 10 hours is plenty good enough.

I don't mind a 50 hour single player. I don't have to play it all at once...

If it were 10 hours, everyone would be complaining it was too short.

and how many hours was the original doom again?
oh right.
also, speedruns negate the entire premise of gamelength.

How could an FPS be that long? The sculpted level design you see in a proper FPS like Doom takes a lot more resources to develop than a shitty sandbox. The only "fps" games that are that long are just open-world repetitive fetch quest bullshit. Fallout 4/Far Cry 2/3/4 aren't what I'd call FPS games (and they're also not games I enjoy, apparently).
I love quake!

Bethesda is pulling a BioShock Infinite and is offering alternate box artworks that will be printed on the backside of the sleeve. There are two options you
can vote for . Only one will be printed. So far, the bottom one looks to be the most popular. No surprise really, it's a cool reference to the original Doom cover artwork.

I like them both, too. I love the concept of the second one, I just wish it looked less cartoony. The top one is SICK.

I don't mind that, it's the sort of picture that I used to stare at as a kid and wonder if I could ever draw like that. Like some of the Warhammer 40k images and album art from the 90s.
I remember this one specifically I used to study for aaaaaages while listening to the CD:
