It's easy to see how something fails, not so easy to see a holistic solution.

Get rid of the 2 party system ?, limit the money involved ?, rework the donation process ?, reduce election time from 18 months ? (seriously set up online voting it'll be sorted in a few days).

What would a non two party system look like? How does the message get through with limited money? Rework the donation process in what way?

I'm just trying to point out that it's easy to criticize a failed idea after the fact, andextemely more difficult to come up with solutions that may have unintended issues, or solutions that won't be manipulated to he'll and back.

Well in this particular scenario, just get rid of super delegates. But I'm pretty sure a lot of democracies have a non 2 party system, what message when concerning the money ?, and you could limit the amount that can be donated - to level the playing field. Shit, get rid of it all together and make the candidates run with nothing but the clothes on their back.

Err, have a look at most parlementary democracies in Europe; think the Brits are the only ones who also have a 2 party system. Not to say that it's definitely the best form of government mind, it has it's flaws for sure - in a multiple party system things tend to get compromised to death for instance. But it sure seems more democratic, doesn't it.

We ain't 2 party, we have a left(ish) that's split by Labour, Lib Dems, SNP, Greens and the right with racists and pig fucking blue nosed cunts. The last government was a coalition, most Brits find that surprising too.

With the fptp system, it'd be better to have a 2 party set up. The only advantage is that probaly groups such as UKIP get marginalised but you could have 49% of your country vote for left wing politics yet have a right wing government in a winner takes all scenario, which is what happened last time. Shit, I don't think they had 37% of the vote.
