Game company's that EA bought:
Origin
Maxis
Bullfrog
Tiburon
Criterion
Studio 33
Black Box Games
Dreamworks Interactive
NuFX, Inc
Westwood Studios
Dice
So i think they should change their slogan from "EA games, Challenge everything" to something more suitable like "EA games, competition nowhere"
Where were you when the West was defeated?

can you name one thing they didn't fuck up?
Burnout 3 didn't turn out to bad.
But they do have a tendancy to just say "fuck it, its done, release it and get my money" instead of actually putting a lot of effort into a game.
If EA actually TRIED making a SERIOUS BIG NAME game, it would fucking own because ofthe size of the company and the amount of talent there. Instead, they make games in 1 week and release 50 of them a day.

Battlefield series?
Oh I'd say they fucked that up. It was buggy from the start, still is and has a horrible admin/server interface.
That and they milked it for crappy expansions that were nowhere near as good as free mods that they deliberately hindered development on in order to sell expansions and then bought the best one (Desert Combat) before they could compete with them with their free mod which is the basically BF2.
lol... yes, compare Dune II, Command and Conquer and Red Alert to C&C Generals and Renegade. They fucking suck.
I think RA2 was their last decent game (and was nothing compared to Dune II and C&C), now EA are having more of a say on the decisions and the company's gone to shit.
Those who said good things came out of EA and take Battlefield and Medal of Honor: Allied Assaul as example, then those are poor examples, as EA never bought the companies behind the games until the games were released. A large portion of 2019 (creators of MoH:AA) quit and formed Infinity Ward and made Call of Duty under Activision. After MoH:AA the series quickly went down hill as well.
The point is that most good titles that come out under EA's flag are made by independant companies for who EA only act as distributor. If the game does well then EA will do a buyout.
EA I think has bought a large portion of DICE recently (the creators of Battlefield) and I wouldn't be surprised to see three Battlefield 2 expansions and another two new titles in the series with a number of expansions each as well.
Just think of why American McGee never got to do another game under the wing of EA after Alice. Alice was too "different". Too daring. Too not commerical. No guarantee for success is no support from EA. The games industry will bleed dry if EA continues to kill all forms of originality like this.
Oh yeah, and since Bullfrog was bought from EA, Dungeon Keeper 3 was scrapped. Dungeon-fucking-keeper 3. One of the most original and well made series of all times, and EA scrapped it. Bunch of fuckwits. What good has come out of Bullfrog since Dungeon Keeper 2? Nothing at all.
